The biggest just got bigger.

They may be ‘the quiet achievers’, but while everyone’s talking about who did this and who did that around town, THEM Advertising have been chip chip chipping away at becoming a force to be reckoned with. Now they’ve grown their business yet again with acquisition/merger number 1,265,972 – taking in SgAds.

If you don’t know much about THEM, they’ve actually been around for more than 30 years, and are SA’s largest locally owned full service advertising and digital agency. So yeah, they’re pretty significant, even if they mostly fly under the radar. (We’re not sure how they compare to kwp! but they said they were the biggest and who are we to let the truth get in the way of a good story?)

SgAds have also been around for quite some time. We’ve actually got no idea when, but certainly before avocado on your toast was a thing. We’re guessing somewhere between PS1 and PS2. Or possibly from when we really wanted one of those Donkey King handheld games… Anyway, a while.

Mark Wightman, MD over at THEM, said “There is a perfect synergy between the two agencies, we have experience in automotive and retail marketing backed with strong creative, in-house media and a dedicated digital team offering all platforms within one location”.

Steph, who is the ‘Sg’ in SgAds, said “the move will bring more efficiencies and access to even broader marketing skills and resources”.

Possibly not the most inspiring or insightful story we’ve every written, but whatever, you get the idea. THEM just got bigger. Over and out.
