About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager this position will be responsible for coordinating marketing and communications activities to help, develop and support the strategic marketing agenda for Babcock Australasia as set by the Marketing and Communications Manager.

Typical duties will include:

  • Support the Marketing and Communications Manager in the delivery of the Babcock Australasia marketing plan
  • Using the Adobe suite of products, develop marketing collateral to support approved activity and the needs of the business, this includes brochures, newsletters, banners and more;
  • Drafting of internal communications and editing of materials from across the business, as well as supporting PR opportunities;
  • Manage the Babcock Australasia social media accounts including the development of posts, scheduling, regular monitoring, budgeting, reporting and analysis;
  • Plan and coordinate key sponsorships, tradeshows and client events. This includes the associated branding opportunities, the ordering and selection of promotional items, and preparation of Babcock materials;
  • Maintain and update the Australasian web pages with appropriate content, images and case studies;
  • Be a custodian of the Babcock brand. Apply and manage the style guidelines across all marketing deliverables and ensure the business abides by them;
  • Track and monitor the marketing budget ensuring appropriate approval processes are followed;
  • Liaise with trade publications, creative agencies (i.e. advertising) and subcontractors;
  • Support the bid process via design and layout of the bid submission, this may also include the printing and assistance with final document presentation (example: branded folders, USB, etc.);
  • Preparation of marketing project plans and reports to meet deadlines, ensuring consistency and uniformity of documentation;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as SharePoint, image libraries and Babcock
  • Effective communication to key stakeholders across the business to build trust; and
  • Other reasonable duties commensurate with the position as required.

About You

This role will align with an experienced marketing & communications specialist that has a proven track record of delivery within a busy and growing technical environment. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have ability to partner with all internal and external stakeholders in order to facilitate positive messaging and outcomes for all sectors of the greater business. Additionally you will be a confident team player that has a passion for identifying opportunities, driving change and enjoys working within a team environment but can also work autonomously as required. You will have exceptional time management and organisational experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes with a strong attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have high level computer skills. Qualifications or professional experience with the Adobe suite of products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) will be highly advantageous, as will proven experience in copywriting. The candidate will also have demonstrable ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly. This experience will be supported by tertiary qualifications.

This role will require defence clearance, so candidates must be Australian citizens.
